LOLA
“LOLA takes a genre that is associated with the echoey nostalgia of a lost era and unapologetically plunges rock ‘n roll into the present." - Happy Mag
Combining energetic, feel - good music with a dedicated, old school work ethic, LOLA are turning heads and starting mosh pits all over Australia.
Emerging from Adelaide’s vibrant music scene, LOLA is best mates Billy Burns (lead vocals, guitar), Sebastian Reyes - Hewitt (lead guitar), Maxwell Bowen (bass) and Mitchell Seager (drums).
Described as a ‘refreshing taste of punk’, LOLA’s DIY punk attitude is not going unnoticed – performing at Groovin The Moo 2023 and sharing the stage with icons such as DZ Deathrays, Descendents, Against The Current, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Dear Seattle, Cosmic Psychos and LOSER.
Taking home Best New Artist at the 2022 South Australian Music Awards further cemented LOLA as heavy weights in the scene and fortunately the outfit are showing no signs of slowing down.
Fresh from their debut European festival tour, LOLA released their EP 'Get Rich or Try Dying' on the 20th of October. ‘Get Rich or Try Dying’ was featured on editorials such as 'New Punk', ‘Fresh Finds AU & NZ’ and shared by the Punk Rock Museum (Las Vegas). 'Game Over' also made its mark on Rage, earning the coveted 'Wild One' feature video slot.
Wrapping up a momentous 2023, LOLA was included on Spotify's ‘Fresh Finds Rock Best of 2023’ and their single ‘Billionaire’ was listed as one of Domestic La La’s ‘Catch of the Year’.
Blending an eclectic mix of artist influences, from NOFX and The Bennies to The Clash, and even Radiohead, LOLA creates music inspired by the natural environment, life experiences, shitty situations, the government, and general inebriation mixed with tomfoolery.
