General Admission Entertainment (GAE) is now a booking agency (in addition to venue owner, festival promoter, talent booker, licensee, site management service and artist management).

The brand new agency business is designed with a core value to champion South Australian artists on a national scale and remove barriers for artists, venues, festivals and promoters to access each other. This is a core value but does not exclude artists from all over Australia engaging with GAE.

SA has a storied history in the Australian music landscape. Steeped in the glory days of Aussie rock and roll and a fertile breeding ground for some of our greatest current exports on the world stage.

For too long SA artists have been sidelined not by their lack of talent or endeavour but the tyranny of distance. Up until now there hasn’t been a booking agency in the national landscape rooted in SA.

GAE is new to the booking industry but no stranger to the music business. Having begun running festival hospitality and licensing in 2007 and since working for the biggest touring festivals and promoters in the country the GAE team has created its own portfolio of events, venues and booking services over the course of time.

GAE’s artist representation agency functions in two tiers;

1. a traditional artist roster like booking agencies across the world; and

2. a self-managed artist service, where artists that want to control their own bookings can tap into the GAE technology and resources by engaging only to contract and collect/distribute payments from venues, promoters and festivals.

This second ‘self-serve’ tier gives artists the power to control their own opportunities and not be tied to a single booking agent or agency whilst having the resource of a professional team to execute the business side of their live careers.
