FUTURE SOUNDS
Future Sounds Residency is a program that will see three emerging artists selected for a month-long residency program throughout the 2024-25 financial year. Each resident artist will receive mentoring, professional development, production, marketing and media opportunities tailored to them along with four residency gigs across the month at UniBar. Two different artists each week will be selected to support the resident and those gigs will see residency artists and all support acts paid and events promoted as free for the public.
The program is designed to support talented, unsigned, emerging artists to hone their craft with the support of a dedicated team of experienced industry professionals and create performance opportunities for dozens of South Australian acts across the year.
Applications for the first of three residencies is open now are GAE is calling artists from all over South Australia to apply now above.
In addition to the residency program, on Saturday October 19, with the support of the Adelaide Economic Development Agency on behalf of the City of Adelaide, UniBar ADL is announcing a brand-new festival property – Future Sounds Festival.
Future Sounds Festival is a new event dedicated to cutting edge music styles, artists and trends and will be announcing a line-up of interstate and international emerging artists or all genres in the coming months. The festival is designed to dovetail at the back end of Sydney’s SXSW to attract a small, curated programme of some of the excellent artists that will be showcasing at the internationally renowned event in Sydney.
Future Sounds is made possible by the partnership between UniBar ADL and Live Music Australia - an Australian Government initiative.
